The project displayed in this post was considered to be in my portfolio. But, I didn’t feel like it was good enough to be besides my other projects showcased. And yet, I thought it does deserve a spot somewhere to be shown, and here it is!

Game Description
“Angry Hamster” is a 3 leveled platforming shoot-em up game where the game features different environments and different enemies for each level. The project was completed by a team of 3 people over the course of 5 days as a part of an Intensive Week in our University.
This game is about an abandoned pet hamster, who out of carnal rage has unleashed its inner fury onto its careless owner who abandoned him. The hamster will shoot and rip apart anything to everything that comes in his way until he gets his vengeance against his ex-master.

My Experience
Game Design, Level Design, UI Programming, Documentation, Sound Editing.
This was my first video game project, and though I had no actual experience on video game development, this project gave me great insightful experience on a basic pipeline on game development. I’d say this game is a very good project for a first one. It has custom sounds, hand-drawn art, and it was designed from the core by only 3 designers.
Tools : Word, Photoshop, Audacity, Perforce.
What Went Right?
- Good first game development experience
- Implementation of SFX
- Fun universe and character
What Went Wrong?
- Many Bugs
- Too ambitious
- Design changes due to lack of knowledge on the Engine
